Target Tuesday: End of Summer Color-blocking

Hey girlies!! Its Target Tuesday and of course I have been nowhere to be found! But I'm here...forgive me for my absence. Soooo onto today's Target Tuesday outfit!

My summer days are certainly numbered and I've been encountering more brisk Fall mornings than I would like to with the drop in temperature lately. It's still August! Could this be my last summer outfit for the year? I think so...especially since I don't do too well in the cold. Yikes!

Today's Target Tuesday outfit is a really simple way to invest in non-expensive pieces to rock a trend that we've been seeing all summer. Colour-blocking doesn't always have to be for the bold and the beautiful! Liven your wardrobe up a little by experimenting with a bold coloured dress and cardigan with a burst of colour in accessories to stay on target with this look.

Even when this "trend" leaves the runways I will still continue to wear bold colours together right into the fall and winter seasons. I can't wait to get my fall wardrobe together so that I look like a beautiful pile of fall leaves!

Mossimo Cardigan: $19.99
Mossimo Sleeveless Dress: $29.99

v-Style: Mila Kunis

Continuing the v-Style series on my blog gives me creative freedom outside the confines of a budget! Admit it, we're all budding fashionistas and stylist so its understandable to have the urge to dress someone for a day! I received some pretty good feedback on my choices from the last v-Style so I think I will keep this up to keep my styling skills sharp!  So as a quick recap as to what v-Style is you can see my last post here or you can read this quick overview: "v-Style" stands for virtual style. An idea that I thought of a few months ago if I was given the opportunity to dress a celebrity for a particular event on an unlimited budget. Putting it altogether on the web makes it virtual..get it? good! ok let's get to today's v-Style!

Mila, Mila, Mila...oh how I love her! I wasn't too much a fan of her until I saw her in Book of Eli and Black Swan (somehow I never got around to watch That 70s Show but I always noted her outfits in the late night reruns). She always seems to have this girlie but dark side to her which I love. As of of late, she's been out and about with cutie Justin Timberlake as they promote their new movie "Friends with Benefits." I haven't seen the movie yet, but I've seen her well cut, flirtatious dresses that she's worn for various appearances.

So today I'm dressing *wink wink* Mila in this really cute Ralph Lauren cashmere wrap dress that's right above the knees since I've noticed that many of her dresses are around that length. I think it suits the dark haired beauty and could easily be worn to a Regis and Kelly taping or a day out in London to promote her new movie. I think the platform shoes are a subliminal homage to her stint on That 70s Show!

Target Tuesdays: Summer Grunge...boxy blouses, bandage skirts, and belt bag purses

When I say I'm back this time I mean it! Where has the time gone my fellow fashionistas?! Ugh I've been trying to sort a lot of stuff that's been going on lately but I'm back on track! Thank goodness I don't get my blogger privileges revoked for neglecting you guys...but I really missed writing and doing my Target Tuesdays. Plus the other day TargetStyle shouted me out on twitter, so let's get into today's outfit before they forget me. [^-^]

No matter how sunny and beautiful it looks outside during this time of year, there's always room for the summer grunge look! Black on black with combat boots to top it off is one of my favourite looks to rock. Its almost like I rolled out of bed and put on the closest things next to me that was clean with that I just woke up hair properly in place to finish the look.

This Target outfit is definitely a whatever goes ensemble that requires no earrings, bangles, or a stitch of accessories. This means you may have to put your driver's license and debit card in your boots because this outfit requires no purses or clutches of any kind (trust me it works, although my foot is kind of sore from walking on my Visa card all day) All you need is a simple top, bottom, boots, attitude, and killer eye make-up as your accessory.

Speaking of accessories, I love this little belt bag! It's too cute and very functional! Ok I lied, you don't have to walk around limping with your debit cards in your boots, you can put them in this belt! It's pretty secure and has a little strap to ensure your stuff doesn't fall out.
The boots in the picture unfortunately aren't from Target since I've had them forever, but I found an amazing pair of buckled ankle boots for $12.99 on Target's website here. AMAZING!

Poka-dotted bandage skirt, Xhilaration $12.99
Boxy Black Blouse, Xhilaration, $16.99
Mossimo Belt Bag, $16.99
boots are vintage

PS:  I missed you guys!
