Gaga Get's Loose in Vanity Fair January 2012

Oh Gaga...she looks absolutely beautiful on the January 2012 cover of Vanity Fair with this over the top hat that is matched with her smile.  After being on the Vanity Cover last year she looks so much softer, sensual, and just dripping in beautiful clothes. I love the raw edges of the dress...it reminds me of her personality with a pop of flair. As usual Gaga turns it up a notch and ends up bearing her goodies as Tony Bennett is sketching her. Yikes. Annie Leibovitz does amazing work as usual.

Tool Reveals Photoshopped Pics

Ever look through a magazine ad or see a celebrity front cover and wonder what portions of  the shot were Photoshopped? I do on a regular basis..but maybe it's because I understand how it can be used to make a person looks ever so flawless by touching up make-up mistakes, misplaced hair, and other imperfections. Sometimes it's done very well and can hardly be noticed while other pictures should just be straight fired for editing a picture so heavily. But how can you tell?

Yesterday I was reading an article that the researchers at Dartmouth College developed a computer tool that shows manipulated images. Everything from enhancing perkier breasts, erasing wrinkles, and evening out skin. Well all knew this but it's sad that girls are still trying to use these images as a standard of beauty. Celebrities are suppose to get old and not be perfect. Why are we so surprised as if we are any better? I think these examples are pretty minor but I'm sure there are some overly airbrushed pictures especially the ads in our glossies. Check out the findings here. Some we pretty much know, other's are a little more frightening if you look closely.

Target Tuesday: Harajuku Mini by Gwen Stefani

Target Tuesday was less than stellar this morning when I woke up and realized that I left my camera in my house that I am renovating! Darn! No worries! I've been meaning to post the cutest line of kids clothes at Target since hearing about the Gwen Stefani's kids line a few months ago.

Well it's here! Harajuku Mini by Gwen Stefani is actually a spin off of her L.A.M.B. line that she currently has that is balled up into a cute mini fashionista. There are all sorts of cool and eccentric looks for toddlers and tweens. My 8-yr old neice would go crazy! It finally launched earlier this month along with the cutest commercial. I love the mohawks and cool hair on the little kid models. I would so dress my child in this if I had one. Check out the look book and video below!

Who else is buying this stuff for their little ones?? I might go to Target and try to see if I can fit one of these little outfits myself! Yes you heard me [^-^]

Why I'm MIA...

I know I pretty much disappeared off of the face of the planet but yet again I am back! I should really let you guys know what is going on and what I've been up to so you don't think I'm purposely ignoring you guys! Let's see in the last 3 months I have....

1). Adopted a nephew
2). Purchased a house
3). Renovated and gutted the house (this should really count as 4 or 5 spots on my list!)
4). Enrolled in school as a graduate student (these 20 page papers are killer!!)
5). Adopted two rescue dobberman dogs

YIKES! Because of this I have been MIA from Twitter, Blogger, and Facebook! But I'm trying to get as much as I can done...ahh balance. ok so I have a few things to post before I have to do homework and have class in two hours so keep up!
