Sailing on the Caribbean...

finally...the time has come for my cruise.yayyy. ive been prepping for this occassion for weeks now and its time for some much needed rest. im posting from phone right now so unfortunately i cant upload any pics through blogger...they so need an app because mobile blogging justt doesnt work and neither does punctuation except for periods for some reason. but i digress

Vacay Wish-list: Dior Spring 2011

I am sooo ready to go on this cruise in T-minus 4 days...not that I'm counting down the days or anything, but I do love the feeling of anticipation that builds up right before an exciting event! Don't you? So I've been putting together a few wardrobe items and have been sewing for the last couple of days. So check back frequently for my different outfits in each island....

Ready, Set, Rebel!!!

Feeling rebellious never felt so gooooood. lol! Haha who am I kidding, I'm pretty much a good girl...So I was in the car with sweetie and saw this abandoned house on the corner and had to take a pic. It pretty much looks like college vandals have been repainting it every so often since its near a campus but i luv it. I'm going to keep my eye on this house to see what other messages this will appear...i absolutely love this taxi yellow vintage blazer..I found it at a thrift store a few weeks back for less than $10. ((STEAL!)) Dressing in black makes me feel so sophisticated with a hard edge. Agree? ok maybe it's just me. What colour makes you feel like a style maven?

As I've said before in earlier posts, I've never been good with editing down my outfit pics so I'll be posting all of my favourites. Just think of it as miniature-style flip book...

MAC Jeanius Collection: Gearing Up For Spring 2010

The notoriously known make-up empire, MAC, has created yet another "gotta have it now or I'll just die" collection and this time you can pair it with your favourite pair of denim just to play up the rest of your fabulous face. The Jeanius Collection for spring is brilliantly inspired by denim trends for 2011.

The shades are all blue jeans inspired and come in the following shades:

              Diva In Distress- a middle-tone gray with silver pearl touch shaped as a metallic jeans snap

              Motorhead- a middle-tone blue with a copper pearl touch shaped as a metallic jeans snap

              Stove Pipe Black- a black/gray shade with a copper pearl touch shaped as a metallic jeans snap

Alicia Keys in Vogue Italia

 Ok, so I'm pretty much back tracking because I didn't get a chance to post this in November when Alicia was featured in Vogue Italia in 2010 but her pics are so amazing that I can't ignore her gorgeous face any longer-so I'm posting them anyways.

She looks stunning and I don't see any evidence of a baby bump anywhere! I am not mad at her at all...

I love how she's rocking the rock star poofy faux hawk for some shots and then a sleek sophisticated hair 'do in others.

Spring 2011 Campaign Ad for Miu Miu

I'm getting giddy just thinking about Spring (!!!!) so here's a sneak preview of the newest campaigns for labels such as Giorgio Armani, Chole' and Burberry. But before I dive into the goodies allow me to catch you up on who's modeling for who and who's been dropped from their modeling contracts *womp womp*

Both  Karlie Kloss and Anja Rubik renewed their contracts with Christian Dior and Fendi respectively for the third time in a row. But after a two-season run, Lindsey Wixson lost the Miu Miu campaign and will be replaced by Polish veteran Kasia Struss. I'm sure she'll get work, she's a cute girl.... Meanwhile, Robert Longo, Nan Goldin, and Larry Sultan, Alex Prager shot Karolina Kurkova for Bottega this season in her classic Hitchcock-esque style.As if she did not look like a goddess on the Victoria Secret Runway!

Bday Goodies

So its been a few days since my birthday last Friday since I posted anything even though I've been seeing a lot of great things that I've been meaning to blog but just hadn't had the time to so I'm pushing to be better and post more frequently (isn't that what every blogger promises? lol)

But first I wanted to post these lovely shoes my mommie bought me and a picture my friend, Vanessa, drew of me for my bday last week.

Who else can dress a fashionista other than her mother? I luv these shoes....red crocodile with a platform trimmed in gold mirror is just what my feet needed. And they are ridiculously comfortable too!

My friend, Vanessa designs a lot of beautiful anime characters and she decided to surprise me by sending me a drawing of a picture that I had already taken for my birthday in my last post.

It's too cute and she really captured my jacket and gold lame' tights! Thanks Vanessa;p

I also got MAC eyeshadow pigments from their Tartan collection from my boss. She's the best! This is definitely a must have in every girl's make-up bag. It's like crack for your eyelids! The colours are so potent and come out brighter than any other eyeshadow that I've ever owned.

And I can't forget the present my hubby gave me...a 7-day cruise to the Caribbean! Let the count down begin till February!
