Lady Gaga Spread in Vogue 2011
Born this Way... in technicolor jump suits, pink wigs, and powered faces, Lady Gaga really plays up the Marie Antoinette look in this shoot. But did you expect anything less? A few weeks ago I posted an entry about Lady Gaga being on the front cover of Vogue but I had to revisit the issue and post her shoot. I like people who are willing to push the boundaries of fashion and take chances..it makes everything so much more visually appealing and refreshing instead of the typical overly sexy outfits that people have been recycling for years. She may not be doing anything new apart from her predecessor's Grace Jones, Madonna, or any other artist but who else do we have left? I take that back, Rihanna does let her stylist do her job- quite well might I add. But I digress. Gaga is the perfect client to style...I just wish she was shot with a tea cup in hand and her pinkie up with little monsters surrounding her. Predictable? Maybe. But appropriate. MY WISH LIST: 3.1 Phillip Lim RTW Fall 2011
Grumbles and Mumbles
So its been awhile since I've posted anything...maybe its because I've been riding of the fumes of my vacation pictures and have no need to top the scenery or clothing that I put together in my former posts. Who knows. But I do know that Fashion Week has passed me by like a high school jock giving the nerd the cold shoulder and I did nothing but bypass the style blogs and fashion sites in efforts to keep my mind off of beautiful clothes and to get the low down on who's buns occupied the front rows of the major shows. It didn't work.
The truth is I'm still trying to figure out how to make this blog a little less about me and bombarding you with high end fashion pics and more about helping women and their wardrobe. But I do like a good tear sheet so maybe the magazine shoots won't totally be eliminated... Yea its fun to dress up but I can't ignore the fact that many women aren't comfortable with putting items together or simply need guidance. Fashion shouldn't be about exclusion or for the elite. People of all shapes and sizes should feel fashionable Alright now I'm just rambling. Oh well I tried. Off to post some pics.

Journey to the Caribbean-Part 2
If there's one thing that I love is a great scenic view with beautiful clothes. My hubby and I found this great piece of rock that became our perfect playing ground for our impromptu shoot in Cozumel, Mexico. The rock was so beat up by the water that it was almost like walking on the moon and it was even worse with my heels but I couldn't resist to ruining a great outfit with flip flops. Check out the remaining pics. Enjoy!
I sewed these amazing high waist pants to create a great ensemble.
Target bandeau top, Calvin Klein Blazer, BCBG shoes, F21 Jewelry, Pants sewed by me.
I created this fitted knit dress years ago and wear it every chance I get
Target Bathing suit, MAC Neon Orange Lipstick, JC Penny Earrings
Blazers and Bikinis! I could wear this look all year round...

Journey to the Caribbean-Part 1
So it's been a week and a half since I came back from my vacay and I'm just uploading these pics...I'm not sure why I'm so late. It's not like I was waiting for the film to develop or anything...wow, remember those days? I took 600 pics so I narrowed it down to two posts consisting of 20 pics each of my outfits I made and put together. As always...I never edit down my pics too much because of my indecisiveness...
For every vacation, I always pack great items that allow me to interchange my ensemble and create new looks with mixed pieces. I made a few items to take with me since there weren't very many summer options to shop for in cold upstate New York! This is the first part of my trip from the US to the Cayman Islands, Bahamas, Cozumel Mexico, and Hondouras. I will upload the second batch soon! Enjoy!
Inspirations for the trip including my MAC Neon Lipstick
Luv it!
Pile on the jewelry!
Banded Neon Skirt I designed
Do you like?
Pink and Coral were my colour inspirations
Swim Suit: Hot pink bandeau top, Coral bikini bottom from Target
August Silk Cardigan over Summer Dress

Lady Gaga Covers VOGUE
Well what do we have here?? Lady Gaga does it again. The March issue of Vogue is graced by none other than Mama Monster herself-only in the fashion world's most important "go to" book of them all..nothing major *shurgs* Of course its major! Gaga isn't the stereotypical beauty that you would normally find on the cover of this prestigious magazine. There's no wind machine blowing luscious locks on this cover...no..not even. It's Gaga and she's bringing it. She may not fit into everyone's standard of beauty but her style is undeniable and as versatile as any other.
On the cover, she rocks a bowl-shape hair cut in hot pink with a grecian dress slightly cascading over her couture pose with a dark plum lip. Oh yea Gaga.. I'm feeling this one. According to Gaga Daily, the photos for the issue were shot in November at the Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium, by legendary photographer Mario Testino.
If she sold 5.8 million copies of her sophomore album The Fame Monster, I can't imagine how fast this coveted magazine will fly off of the shelves when it debuts. I'm sure this will be a collectors item but the question is are you convinced enough to go Gaga for this issue??
