v-Style-Paula Patton: How to Style a Spy

Ever since me and my hubster went on a date (yes we still date;) over the holiday break  to see Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol I can't help but think what I would wear if I were the spy?? Jane Carter played by none other than Paula Patton was enough inspiration to get me going in the right direction. Isn't she just gorgeous?! (i <3 her hubster).

Naturally, Paula Patton is my v-Style inspiration for the week! I haven't done a v-Style post in a while so click here for more details. In a nutshell, it is a post that features how I would style a celebrity if I was given and unlimited budget for a day without the limitations of a small budget. Who wouldn't want a job with massive access to clothes and cash? Me [^_^]
The look below is definitely for a spy in the making...
  • very minimal accessories to carry (to make room for her spy gear, of course)
  • motorcycle inspired leather and wool jacket
  • wedged shoes (with rubber grip so she doesn't break an ankle while drop kickin' the bad guys)
  • oversized watch to make sure her timing is just right
  • stretch leather pants to seduce and destroy!!
Ok maybe that last part was overkill but I would sooo rock this if I were a spy or if I could afford it-whichever comes first. Kudos to Paula for making it look so easy!

v-Style: Mila Kunis

Continuing the v-Style series on my blog gives me creative freedom outside the confines of a budget! Admit it, we're all budding fashionistas and stylist so its understandable to have the urge to dress someone for a day! I received some pretty good feedback on my choices from the last v-Style so I think I will keep this up to keep my styling skills sharp!  So as a quick recap as to what v-Style is you can see my last post here or you can read this quick overview: "v-Style" stands for virtual style. An idea that I thought of a few months ago if I was given the opportunity to dress a celebrity for a particular event on an unlimited budget. Putting it altogether on the web makes it virtual..get it? good! ok let's get to today's v-Style!

Mila, Mila, Mila...oh how I love her! I wasn't too much a fan of her until I saw her in Book of Eli and Black Swan (somehow I never got around to watch That 70s Show but I always noted her outfits in the late night reruns). She always seems to have this girlie but dark side to her which I love. As of of late, she's been out and about with cutie Justin Timberlake as they promote their new movie "Friends with Benefits." I haven't seen the movie yet, but I've seen her well cut, flirtatious dresses that she's worn for various appearances.

So today I'm dressing *wink wink* Mila in this really cute Ralph Lauren cashmere wrap dress that's right above the knees since I've noticed that many of her dresses are around that length. I think it suits the dark haired beauty and could easily be worn to a Regis and Kelly taping or a day out in London to promote her new movie. I think the platform shoes are a subliminal homage to her stint on That 70s Show!

v-Style: Rosie Huntington

A few months ago I started to do a series entitled v-Style (short for "virtual style") in order to create dream looks for artists and celebrities that I would love to dress for an event if given the chance to be their stylist for the day! Clearly these looks would be left to my imagination to conjure up without any budget limitations. Break out the black card. Check out my first v-Style I did on JessieJ here.

Today I chose to v-Style Rosie Huntington because I was reminded of how stunning she was when I went to go see Transformers 3 last week (which was amazing!) I was a little disappointed that Megan Fox was being replaced but I quickly got over it when I saw Rosie's cute outfits in the movie and saw how curvy she is (did anyone else notice that she wore white throughout the entire movie?). Either way, I completely have a new found respect for her since she's been able to be a successful model while looking completely healthy and curvy (she talks about her weight being an "issue" in one of the magazines I read this week and how she coped in the modeling industry).

Below is the outfit that I put together for the model turned actress that would go perfectly with her figure. It's proper, cute, and classy just like Brits are always known to be.
