Target Tuesday: Stars and Stripes

Happy Target Tuesday!

I can't get over all the cool 4th of July inspirational photos I keep seeing on style blogs, fashion websites and Instagram albums. I absolutely love these denim cuts offs with the star and stripe prints-there's nothing more American than denim cut offs. Today's Target Tuesday outfit pays homage to the colours that never run a~~s my hubster always reminds m~~e. ~~I think he keeps reminding me of that because I constantly mention that I'm a citizen of three different countries. But I digress.~~ It's a pretty chic way to incorporate our flag's colours without being overly tacky if you're headed to the beach or a swimming pool for some fourth of july fun.

I found this American inspired bathing suit top that I had to turn into a bandeau top to wear.

Did I mention that I really like these denim cut offs? ^_^ The distressed denim down the front with the stripped material peaking through the pockets gives it that classic American feel.

Target Tuesday: Denim Sherpa Jacket and Pencil Skirt

Target Tuesdays are backkkkk!

Ok I'm back on track now, so bear with me folks! I continue to shop in Target but I haven't gotten the chance to post anything! I think I mentioned it before that I'm in school doing my masters and I have Monday night classes so I never get a chance to post in time for Tuesday!

Today's Target Tuesday outfit makes me feel like a sexy lumber jack's wife! I don't know what it is but the sherpa on this denim little jacket with my little hiker boots are really making me fall in love with this outfit. It's so simple and no fuss. Coat+skirt+boots= ohlala chic!

The red pencil skirt and leopard skinny belt is a subtle twist to a denim cropped jacket. I could have easily thrown on this jacket with a pair of dark denim jeans but playing it up with a skirt and boots makes it fun and gives the outfit a cooler look. These type of jackets never go out of style. It's all about the classics!

Target Tuesdays: Fresh Whites & Denim

Summer is right around the corner and I am extremely excited to jump into my summer wardrobe and start shedding the layers from last season’s brutal winter. But just because the weather is getting a little warmer doesn’t mean you have to place your denim in a storage bin for the winter! For today’s Target Tuesday ensemble, I paired a fresh white spaghetti strap dress with a light denim top that I usually would layer in the colder months. I love the way the white dress brings such a fresh take on a casual outfit. I also threw on this really cute beaded necklace that I found at Target last week for a tribal look, along with a brown pair of wedges. This outfit is perfect for the girl who plans to attend a summer festival without looking too over dressed. Dress up those summer white pieces with denim and some tribal jewelry for this look!
