Target Tuesday: Jason Wu for Target Outfit #4

Today marks the last Jason Wu outfit for the month of February for the Target Tuesday Wu marathon. *sniffle, sniffle* For those of you who are just joining me, this month I dedicated all of my outfits for Target Tuesday toward Jason Wu's debut (ohh that rhymes.. ok not quite) of his budget-friendly collection earlier this month. My first outfit that I styled using my personal items can be reviewed here and if you have a minute take a peek at the other two equally flirty outfits here. Today's outfit #4 continues to incorporate Wu's pieces with my personal flair.

I loveeee this poplin dress! I've always loved the way a box pleated skirt looks on me because it creates volume to my slender frame. The purse is a personal favourite too that adds another hue of blue to the overall look. It comes with an additional strap to wear as a cross body bag and it's pretty roomy on the inside to carry your belongings without sacrificing your purse space. I really like the dress because of the great shape and colour! I'm colour crazy (ok, that didn't even make sense) but I love to dive head first into outfits with a punch of colour and this outfit definitely does the trick. I'm pretty sure I'll still be wooing for Wu in years to come {^_^}.

Special thanks to my hubster Lucas for taking my pictures in our house and for designing the cool vintage graphic below! He's so cool...I think he sweats awesomeness (haha).

Target Tuesday: Wooed for Jason Wu for Target

Happy Valentines Day!! So today continues the month of February's Jason Wu for Target Tuesday Series! Since I have two complementary outfits from my finds, I'm going feature two of my favourites today that are perfect for a date out. Last week I styled my outfit using Wu's Milu kitty tee using a cute, cropped blazer and boyish appeal which turned out adorable. Check out outfit #1 for Jason Wu if you didn't see it-> milu outfit. It's actually been pretty funny reading about my fellow blogger's experiences at Target last week after waking up at the crack of dawn just to nab the coveted Jason Wu pieces. In particular, Lindsay from Lindsay's  Look had me doubled over with laughter after reading about her experience. She is like a shopping ninja...she should be in the Olympics. {^-^)

Let's get to the details of outfit #2 for Jason Wu:

I luvvv a good blouse! Especially one that can accommodate my long arms with a good length sleeve. These two pieces were on my list of things that I found last week when I spotted it on the rack after doing a 5 second inventory sweep. The blouse and pleated skirt combo is perfect for Valentines day because its chic without being too overly girly with the red and pink colours. I paired it with my Michael Antonio shoes that my mom bought me for my birthday last year {she's awesome at spotting good finds!} along with a vintage belt that I've had forEVER.
Target blouse: $34.00
Target skirt: $29.00
purse: Wilson's Leather
Shoes: Michael Antonio
belt: Vintage

On to outfit #3 for Wu!
This sleeveless pleated shift dress is so me! It really shows off my arms, not to mention the stripes make me look taller {bonus!}I feel like a very cool vintage airline stewardess because of the shape of the dress {maybe its all in the hair, who knows-I could be hallucinating}. I have to confess though that I through out the belt that came with the dress and substituted it for {yet another} vintage belt. I always swap out the 'flimsy belt' to give it more structure because I'm so lean. If not then the belt looks more like a noose around my waist. Yikes.
dress: $39.99
shoes: Aldos
belt: Vintage
tights: Rainbow

Target Tuesdays: Jason Wu for Target {Outfit #1: Screen-print Kitty Tee}

It's here!! Yayyy! Today’s Target Tuesday outfit incorporates Jason Wu’s feline mascot that is cleverly linked with his design signature “mischief in the details” for his Target ad campaign. I couldn’t pass up the screen printed kitty tee that has been a staple icon on his purses, scarves, and other accessories. So I decided to pair my tee with other items in my closet to reflect Wu’s clean lines and flirty appeal. A little less than half of the collection was offered in my local Target but I managed to purchase other items that I will display throughout the month of February for the next Target Tuesdays {^_^}
 Along with all of the other eager shoppers, I woke up on Sunday morning  to get a jump start on Jason Wu's Collection for Target…I learned my lesson last time with the Missoni release when I got to the store mid-day (the racks were flapping in the breeze but I still managed to put an outfit together and turn a sleep wear top into a chic outfit->  here)

The women were pretty calm when I got to Target, (probably because I don’t live in a major city with mob shoppers) carefully tip-toeing around the other customers to see the Wu  debut. Being the smart shopper that I think I am, I searched for the coloured hangers that coordinate with my size and then decided if I wanted them later (most retailers colour code their sizes; my color is yellow at Target-size 2).  A few women started to give me dirty looks after seeing me with a handful of clothes to the dressing room! Shopping under pressure is a faux pas! I work so much better in a dressing without the gawking eyes of onlookers!

Did anyone else venture out on Sunday morning to get a piece of the collection or order online? What was your experience?
I love this mischievous cat
